Hi, cc:ing video@ as this is were this discussion belongs. On Montag, 16. Valessio's proposal basically mixes different channels to make things easier for those who like to have everything in a single window. But you're right, we have had video streaming working very well for past DCs, which is important to point.
rather: aren't we working on a miro community setup which should be able to do exactly that? (embedded web streaming :) Tiago, whats the status here? (I have nothing on my todo list in this regard?! Did I miss something?)
I had an IRC meeting with paulproteus and we tried to set up miro in my VPS in order to give you a working step-by-step for installing it in dc.org server. We failed in the end and paulproteus volunteered to try himself in my VPS. I was late sending him an account to access my server (sent yesterday) so I guess we'll have an idea about how things are going in few days.
I'm a bit worried once installing mirocommunity demands some workarounds and requires non-packaged software.
If we decide to not use miro, I'll suggest going back to wordpress, having something like http://river-valley.tv/conferences/lgm-2010
Sorry for the so many fails on this, but I promise we'll release DC11 videos in a fancy community-based environment even if I have to build one from scratch :)
