It doesn't bother me one or the other way. I feel like I belong and am part of the team already no matter their geographical location.

I have a long list of people that have worked with (or been involved in) the budget in the past (and spoke to many of them during DC15), everyone is very friendly and welcoming. I also have defined escalation points for issues and questions and very many people that are more than willing to help me with queries I have. I've also paid attention to previous issues on the ML and the recent discussions.

Then again, I have been working in large geographically diverse teams most of my life :)
