Not sure, what is the full meaning of that statement, could you please clarify?
Clearly, we are not a travel agency, we are a DebConf orga team.

That's easy one, families are not to be DebConf responsability.
Families should have some other contact point if they need some info
and DebConf orga teams can focus on their primary activities and
redirect family requests to the assigned resource (contact point
person).

DebConf should not have to deal with family requests.
I did see some kids around DC13, and I enjoyed to have them around.
During DC12, I hardly noticed.

We need DebConf local team to help out to find accomodation places for
families, families should probably have to find out the costs
themselves and do any required booking before-hand. The same applies
for food and travelling.

Agreed. That's what we aim to create here.
