Yes - I never suggested anybody is going to drop IRC, it is only about
adding a new dimension.

I notice this in the Debian project news, using Jabber:

   http://www.debian.org/events/2012/1001-jabberfr-bsp

so it seems there is interest in the community, and a solution like
SylkServer that does both IRC and Jabber simultaneously should not
exclude anybody?

If anyone has an event where they'd like to give it a test run (maybe
for s BSP?), I'd be happy to provide a test instance from a location
with plenty of bandwidth.
