[Debconf-team] News about C&W



This afternoon, I went again to CIPRES, the place where we'll be
holding the Cheese & Wine party this year. Thank you to Linda
forcoming there with me and translate the discussion with the lady who
is in charge of the place.

Really, the place is perfectly fit for C&W. It will IMHO easily fit
the attendees (even if *everybody* attends), has several square tables
(white plastic : therefore simple to handle) as well as a fait amount
of chairs.

It even has a small corner with a couch and a table that will be
perfect for Mao play..:-)

Linda and I also discussed with Jim, our caterer. What we agreed about
is the consequence of decisions taken during the team meeting today:

- the C&W will *not* replace Monday's meal
- we will  slightly shorten that meal from 7 to 8
- Jim will prepare easy to transport meals that we'll be able to
transport to CIPRES. This way we'll have the option to have extra food
there 
- Jim  will take care of ordering and getting bread (there might be an
extra cost for this....probably to be discussed again with him)
- he will let use use the plates, knives, forks and glasses we use for
dinner
- we need to gather a team of volunteers for washing them at the
"bodega"
- we also need some volunteers to transport the remainings of the
dinner to CIPRES
- we also need to clean them after the C&W, of course, as well as
taking them back to some safe place afterhan
- Jim recommended s shop that sells local cheese so that attendees who
would like to bring something and couldn't can buy stuff. It would
mean organizing some "cheese trips" on Monday (requires taxi:the place
is somewhere on "La Carretera a Masaya", IIRC...but that street is a
very logn street..:-)

About CIPRES:
- the place will be cleaned by CIPRES people. Of course, nothing
prevents us from trying to clean it as much as possible after the
party
- we have access everywhere except the kitchen and the office. We
don't really need them  anyway
- they can setup a fridge during the day, Monday, so that we can bring
cheese beforehand and not at the last minute
- they have a sono and could eventually rent it to us is we want (this
is not mandatory, indeed). Their usual cost, if I remember well is
1000 Cordobas.

>From now on, I will setup a "cheese team" meeting for tomorrow Friday
in order to start gathering volunteers for the different tasks.
