Re: [Debconf-team] Registration for DebConf9 opened

Hi,

let me clarify this as a person who is probably only here (in DebConf, in
Debian) because I got free accomodation and food at DebConf9, when I was
hardly involved in Debian...

I think there is a difference between someone entering Penta and stating "I
want to work on $foo" (my $foo was FAI in 2003 and I had some track record on
that) and someone stating "I just want to accompany $person".

I'm all for being open and generous, giving (even huge) benefit of the doubt
("$person wants to work on $foo and I can see only three mails about $foo
from $person in the archive, ok, lets sponsor food+accom, that might be a
good investment in the future or not a big loss"), but if someone clearly
states to have no involvement in Debian nor even a plan to become involved, I
dont think we should spent money on that.

It's still more than three months, plenty of time to start to do _something_
for Debian ;-)

regards,
	Holger
