I didn't spended the time to answer long mails but I would like to add the
hint that I as a committee member that decides about the events tend to
evaluate the web pages of the submitter (or the organisation he stands for)
and try to find out what the submitter has worked out there regarding his
task. I admit as a naive visitor of ububtu.com I would need some patience to
find hints to Debian. Fortunately finally Google search "Debian
site:ubuntu.com"
reveals something interesting but without the help of Google I would rate
probably lower than "maximum relevance" for the Debian conference.

I admit that in this aspect Ububtu is not very different to other derivatives
which leads me to the conclusion that those derivatives are not very busy
to stress the points you made on their web pages publicly.

Kind regards

         Andreas.
