We have been working on organizing this event for many years now, and we have a system in place to sign up new volunteers, teams that need volunteers will post call for volunteers and people interested can respond to such calls. Specifically we are looking for volunteers in the publicity team and video teams as announced in this list. Interested people can still respond to those calls. For video volunteers, we already did two training sessions, more will be announced if there is interest.
We did ask people to volunteer very early on as far back as 2018[1] for a DebConf in India at multiple mediums and events in multiple cities. Many people who expressed interest in volunteering is active in the team.
As for goodies, we have to order goodies in advance to be able to deliver them at the conference. We already announced only people registering early will have confirmed goodies. Everyone who registered before 5th August will have goodies.
We cannot plan upfront for unlimited attendees so we planned according to the number of advanced registrations we got.
