For shorter rides, you could go for a picnic at Ile Ste. Helene, Parc Lafontaine, or Mont Royal.  On Sundays, there is a Tam-Tam Jam on the east side of Mont Royal, there are usually rogue unofficial food vendors so if you are willing to eat their food, you won't have to bring your own.

It has been a very long time since I was in Montreal though, I do not know the status of the roads in those areas.  And I'm not super familiar with Graphhopper, sorry ...

I will rent a bike from Jacques for two week and also prefer the
shorter hikes.
