Any solution that you come up with is going to be at the discretion of the photographers to conform to, because the law is not on the side of the photograph's subject where public spaces are concerned. So the only question is whether we think that there's a reasonably-complete solution that's worth implementing. As someone who doesn't personally share these concerns (there are already plenty of bad photos of me on the Internet, what's a few more?), I don't think my own opinion here matters much wrt "worth implementing". I can only apologize as an organizer for not doing a better job of raising the visibility of people's no-photo preference in a way that would matter. I do agree that we should *either* stop asking this question, *or* make use of it in some meaningful way.
