Yup! 45 minutes is very far from enough to even mention all the
interesting things. But, luckily, that's not my plan! That's what
documentation is for.

I want to raise awareness that packaging is fun, show how it's done, and
persuade people that it's worth the effort to spend a month or two
reading the docs and playing with all the tools available, to experiment
and learn packaging properly.

Trying it the other way around is doable, of course, but that assumes
that one already knows he wants to do packages. I work from the
assumption that people interested in packaging do not yet know if it's
for them or not: thus, they need to be persuaded.

I can't guarantee that the audience will immediately be able to package
gcc after the tutorial/workshop/etc, but I do hope they'll be willing to
learn enough in the coming months to do that.

(On the other hand, since I hope there will be DDs in the audience too,
I will try to sneak in a few tricks that might be interesting for them
aswell. THAT will be the harder task, actually :P)

It was the other way around: my tamagotchi (RIP) made ME run for DPL. I
think... it was almost a decade ago.

Yes, please!
