[Debconf-discuss] Location and orga for the Cheese&Wine party
The C&W party is scheduled for tomorrow (Monday) 22:00. Actually, this
is all what we have: a time slot..:)
So, it's probably time to go for more concrete(en?) stuff.
Orga Team, where do you think it would be more appropriate to have
it ? You know that C&W is something that can become fairly noisy. I
was thinking about the 1st floor place, close to restaurant, but that
may conflict with the hotel's bar.
We will also need to have some stuff to hold the party:
- plates
- knives
- glasses (plastic cups would be OK....not the best for wine but we
always made compromises..:-))
We might need to find some bread, because cheese without bread is a
sin. Actually, the hotel's bread would be fine (they have some
French-style baguette and I don't really feel like running all around
MDQ to find something else). Do you think they could provide us with
what's needed ? The number will depend on the number of cheese we'll
have and shouldn't be that high. Don't worry about money stuff, I'll
take it on my own if needed.
We also need to gather what cheese we might have. I'm afraid we will
have much much less than the years before (except Helsinki which was a
very small one) because of the complications for many people.
So, if you bringed something (liquid or solid), then it's time NOW to
fill in http://wiki.debconf.org/wiki/DebConf8/CheeseWineBoF so that we
have an idea of what we'll get.
So, time *now* to make this the real good event it always has
been....but as usual in Debian, things are done when people enough
motivated for doing it just do the work.
We'll see how all this advances but in any case, I propose having a
Cheese&Wine Orga Meeting at 22:00 tonight in the small talk room
(Andreas, can we put that on schedule?).
