I would love to visit Russia. My great-great-grandfather, first of my
ancestors to come to America, spent a good deal of time working in
St. Petersburg (illegally). I studied Russian, though I haven't used it in
20+ years.
However, I'm scheduled to leave Helsinki early on Sunday 17 July (so I can
get home after midnight and be at work bright and early Monday am). I
figured a visit to Russia was pretty much out of the question given my
schedule, and I'd rather not go alone. If there are others who would like
to take a day sometime during the week, I'd be very interested. I would
need a visa and would have to start that process soon.
