problem with flushing cache

Hi,

I have problems writing a DVD+ or -R with many files.
Everything works good until growisofs 5.19 writes

/dev/dvd: flushing cache

This nevers ends (at least for a couple of hours!).

This is what I used on the command line (I used k3b before):

root@jedi tmp]# growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/dvd=image.iso
Executing 'builtin_dd if=image.iso of=/dev/dvd obs=32k seek=0'
/dev/dvd: "Current Write Speed" is 2.0x1385KBps.
   7012352/4540596224 ( 0.2%) @1.5x, remaining 53:52
...
   4540170240/4540596224 (100.0%) @2.0x, remaining 0:00
builtin_dd: 2217088*2KB out @ average 2.0x1385KBps
/dev/dvd: flushing cache

While still waiting for growisofs to end flushing the cache I involked

(hmueller@jedi)~> dvd+rw-mediainfo /dev/dvd

The strange thing is, that it seems to work with a DVD+RW and with DVD+R
(same media, but after 3 failures I only have the DVD-R from above) with
only 10 or 12 files filling 4GB. Why does it have problems with 40k files
in a single image file???

Please help me!!!
Cheers
Holger

PS: Please send a copy to me, because I am not on the list ...
