Kernel 2.4.20 will not build with gcc 3.3.  It'll die in various places
with various interesting (to someone, I'm sure) errors.

Gcc 3.3 is not a recommended kernel compiler.  In fact, 3.2 barely is, and
lots of people have problems with it.  Gcc 2.95 is still the recommended
kernel compiler.
