Bei mir sieht die Konfigurationsdatei folgendermaßen aus:

fd@acer:~$ cat /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
ctrl_interface=/var/run/wpa_supplicant
ap_scan=2
network={
        ssid="bergm68"
        scan_ssid=1
        group=TKIP
        pairwise=TKIP
        #psk="*******"
        psk="Hex Key "
        key_mgmt=WPA-PSK
        proto=WPA
}

Es mag durchaus sein, daß einige Angaben nicht notwendig sind, aber mit
den Minimalangaben wie in Deiner Datei ging's bei mir nicht.

Was macht die Option -t, kann ich bei mir in man wpa_supplicant nicht
