Not a native speaker. Still I have a suggestion:

Description: Type1-fonts for teTeX
This package contains PostScript Type1-fonts from Adobe, Bitstream, URW
etc. They are needed for teTeX, but have been split from the tetex-extra
package in order to provide other packages with these fonts.

As pointed out earlier in a sub-discussion with Florent and Hilmar, I
don't think that just splitting off type1 fonts from tetex-extra is a
good means to get tetex-extra smaller or more modular: The rest of the
files for these fonts takes much more space. Therefore, if we want to
make tetex-extra more modular in the future, splitting will be done in a
different way, I expect.

If we split along the lines "exotic formats" vs. "fonts" vs. "other
stuff" or the like, we are on the safe side with the current plans for
tetex-extra-type1fonts (or whatever the name will be). Then the new
tetex-extra-fonts can just depend on tetex-extra-type1fonts.

I we split diffently, like "extras for math use", "extras for pdf
creation", then for exapmle the wasy fonts would go to the maths
package, while the standard PS fonts or the omega fonts would not. But I
also think that this would not cause big problems. We could just keep
tetex-extra-type1fonts as it is, and both the math package and the pdf
package would depend on it.
