I *really* think it deserves to become snapshot.d.o, and maybe archive.d.o
should be connected to it, somehow, to futher reduce disk space wastage.

And, given the replies I got when I asked DDs about what they use for
version control of their packages (answer: what version control?), well...
we really need the full (public) story of a package stashed away
automatically, for those of us that know better to even have a shade of hope
of finding that information when we need it.
