That's a different issue.

You can only compare this DVD/CD sponsoring with the site-sponsor-logo
on our web pages.

What you mention is a return for sponsoring this particular service
(hosting the mirror or paying for DVD/CD press or flyer printing).
Without this that service would not be possible.

The Debian project, however, is able to survive without plastering its
web page by third party adverts with at least partially questionable
content.

Also, the CDs, Flyers, DVDs aren't authorised by the entire project but
only by a small group of less than a dozen Debian people.  One could
stress this and say they are not a project asset. :)

Also, it's only the logo of the sponsor and not a link to a study that
explains why a proprietary os is much better and secure than our free
operating system.
