The origin of this thread mentioned that I fucked up the input/output stream.
I CAN'T use the serial console, because there's nothing THERE... Either because
the serial port (or the chip) is broken, or because I didn't set it up correctly.

Not yet. I always try the (opensource/web) communities FIRST before trying the
'get help from a company' (which usually suck - "you do not have paying support,
piss of" kind'a).
I'll have a try with them and see if they can help out...
Thanx. I'll get back to you about the kernel if I ever get this sorted out.
