No realy, I have taken the GTK-Tutorial, tried the examples and then
I have coded a "finder" (like this one from those proprietary OS)

Its only a frontend for find, grep, ...

It was more easier then I was thinking.

My daughter has found some very usefull commandline
tools and now she try to make frontends for it...

I do it crurently for the "gsm-utils" since I do not use GNOME
and xgsmlib would be install tonns of unneeded GNOME stuff.

I have gotten a useless one with my Laptop...
