Yo lo traduciría como "Esta técnica también se conoce como utilizar un proxy
(o intercalar/interponer un proxy)...recuerda que tiene que quedar con el
mismo significado, pero no necesariamente con el mismo número de palabras...
;-) No te rayes en exceso con lo de proxying.
