Re: alittle help...

Try the following : apt-get update
                         apt-get upgrade (might need apt-get dist-upgrade)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this will only work if he already has a version of
KDE installed. As KDE is not available in Potato, he is looking to install a New
KDE. This should be:

apt-get update
apt-get install task-kde

However, I'm not sure how much of KDE is included in the task list. He might
need to install other parts manually. I know this worked for me when my libqt2.2
got corrupted by libqt2 and I removed libqt2 which took KDE with it. Then an
apt-get install task-kde re-installed KDE2.

I also believe this is covered in the FAQ, but I'm not sure where it is. I've
got a copy of the first draft, but without Internet access from work, and being
without KDE after installing Progeny, I haven't had a good look at Ivan's site
in a while now. Once I sort out a few issues with my Progeny installation, I'll
be re-installing KDE.

Thanks again to Ivan for all his hard work keeping KDE playing nice with Debian.
And thank to the rest of you for your comments, suggestions and assistance.

Cheers,

     John Gay
