mmh.. H2 is libc0.2-based. That makes it an (almost) non-upgradable
system. I'd suggest that you reinstall from the (yet unreleased) J0 set
or the gnu-* tarball from ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/hurd/debian-staging
