In /GnuMach says:

"In the GNU system, Mach is the base of a functional multi-server operating
system, the Hurd."

IMHO we need a specific common-name to describe the Hurd ("set of servers
that run in userspace and implement etc" is too long for me). What do you
think? Do kernel-replacement, core, layer, framework fit well here?
