locale broken again ?

Hi,

I have a small program that uses the Japanese locale support from the
latest gtk1.1.1x. The program used to work OK till a couple of days ago
when I upgraded glibc/locale/xserver. I don't know which is the
offending program but now my program is no more working :-(. Maybe it's
because of different versions of xserver and xbase, but I have not been
able to find an xbase 3.3.3 in my local mirror of debian / debian-jp.

My present configuration is:
