On the contrary, I like it the way it is. The debian way allows me to
set up my runlevels however I like; from then on updates will do the
right thing. I'll still have to keep an eye on what happens when I
install new daemons, but that's the case with predefined runlevels as
well. Been there, done that with RedHat.
What's really needed is a runlevel system which links in
clairvoyance.so so that it does what the admin wants, all the time.
