Censorship for the sake of freedom of expression. I see. I really don't see a problem with anyone putting a package in that expresses their personal opinions about the appropriateness of various packages, as long as it's an Extra-priority package and anyone else is free to contribute their own contrary package. If you trust Joe's opinion of what is good, then you can install his morality-enforcement package and it will protect you against anything Joe disapproves of. If you prefer Phil's judgments, use his morality package. If you prefer your own judgment, don't bother installing anyone else's morality package. This is not a threat to anyone as long as none of these packages are part of the standard Debian installation, nor are higher than Extra priority. The only potential problem I see with such packages is that they could clutter up an already rather large distro if more than a few of them existed. Perhaps there could be some rules based on popularity-contest, such that a morality package that hardly anyone uses gets automatically dropped after some period of time. Craig
