libsig++




Another 2 cents...

There was a post last week concerning signal handling. Personally, if a new
signal/callback scheme is needed, I would suggest to look at libsig++,
http://www.ece.ucdavis.edu/~kenelson/libsigc++.

This is the signal library used in gtk--, now distibuted separately, and is one
of the best parts of gtk--. It compiles on every major platform with most modern
C++ compilers (egcs anv VC++ 5).

There was also a discussion on the gnome/kde mailing lists if KDE should switch
to it.
