Hey everyone, leave this issue open but as a wontfix, not sure what the correct thing is, but here is what happened.
I contacted upstream about tokenize-rt. It seemed perfect to put into upstream Python because it's small, and its tiny popularity but is used by many of his other apps which rely tokenize-rt. I approached him in a GitHub issue and he said if that was the attitude
I was going to have, 'don't package my stuff'. (https://github.com/asottile/tokenize-rt/issues/77)
I already have to deal with the LM devs for my Cinnamon work and I don't want to package another small tiny package that could fit upstream (and I'm definitely not the guy to send it upstream, I know nothing about the interpreter/core libraries development)
for about five others only used by the same guy, who's going to be like this.
For now, it'll stay dormant in Salsa DPT repos. I'm sorry everyone.

Pyupgrade and a lot of your other projects rely on this tokenize-rt program; it's the same thing but patched with a few extras. This is basically extra work for the Debian Python Team (which I am trying to package pyupgrade) and you, so ...
