Thank you for the quick briefing. :)
This package is for amd64 only at the moment. Other architectures are unsupported by this time, I hope it will change soon. But now this is the only platform available.
I will check the Makefile option what you mentioned. Honestly I don't know how to build a deb package with a Makefile, so I need to learn some new stuff I think. :)
Anyway thank you for the answer, I will try to fix everything and then contact the pkg-java maintainer list.

Anyway, something you need to fix:
1) open an itp bug
2) start using other places e.g. mentors.d.o to get your package uploaded
3) do not use UNRELEASED as target distro
4) not mentioning essential packages like build-essential in your control file.
5) architecture: amd64? why? is this a package for amd64 only?
6) machine readable copyright (not requested, but nice to have)
7) a Makefile instead of overriding dh_auto_install might be good, specially for upstream and other distros.
the other stuff might be looking good, but I didn't check lintian and a built package.
