Bug#738281: RFS: cppreference-doc/20140208+dfsg0 [ITP] - A C/C++ reference

Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "cppreference-doc":

dget -x
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/c/cppreference-doc/cppreference-doc_20140208+dfsg0-1.dsc

It builds these binary packages:

   cppreference-doc-en-html
   ------------------------

   C and C++ standard library reference (English, Devhelp variant)

A version of online C and C++ standard library reference manual
available at en.cppreference.com, suitable for viewing offline.

This package contains a Devhelp book.

    cppreference-doc-en-qch
    -----------------------

   C and C++ standard library reference (English, Qt Help variant)

A version of online C and C++ standard library reference manual
available at en.cppreference.com, suitable for viewing offline.

This package contains a Qt Help book.

The changelog entry is as follows:

  * Initial release (Closes: #645513)
  * Repack upstream tarball to include the original wiki-text from which
the documentation can be regenerated if imported into a MediaWiki wiki.

This package has already been sponsored roughly half year ago, but was
rejected by the ftp-masters because the "preferred form of modification"
of the content was not included as required by the DFSG. To solve this,
I've repacked the upstream tarball to include an XML file with the
wikicode of the cppreference.com wiki which can be imported to any
Mediawiki instance and freely edited. Hopefully this will satisfy the
ftp-master objections.

There were no other significant changes except that a new upstream
release is packaged.

Cheers,
Povilas Kanapickas
