Package: sponsorship-requests
Severity: wishlist

Dear mentors,

I am looking for a sponsor for my package "automx"

 * Package name    : automx
   Version         : 0.10.0-1
   Upstream Author : Marc Schiffbauer <m@sys4.de>
 * URL             : https://github.com/sys4/automx
 * License         : GPLv3, MIT
   Section         : python

It builds those binary packages:

    python-automx - Provides account configuration data to mailclients

To access further information about this package, please visit the following URL:

  http://mentors.debian.net/package/automx

Alternatively, one can download the package with dget using this command:

dget -x http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/a/automx/automx_0.10.0-1.dsc

More information about automx can be obtained from https://github.com/sys4/automx.

Thank you!

Regards,
  Walter Reiner

I noticed just one minor thing:

* You've set https://github.com/sys4/automx as homepage, but
  http://automx.org/ seems more suitable.

But this is no problem and can be changed with the next upload.

One other thing I noticed, but where I'm not sure what's the best
solution, is that -- compared to the previous upstream .deb --
python-ldap, python-mysqldb and python-sqlalchemy moved from Suggests
to Recommends. Was there a specific reason for that? Just from my
gut-feeling, I would made these optional dependencies as follows:

  Recommends: python-ldap | python-sqlalchemy
  Suggests: python-ldap, python-mysqldb, python-sqlalchemy

(I though haven't checked the actual code if that makes really sense.
My thought behind this is: The majority of the automx users will need
one of the two backends, but only a minority will need both at the
same time. Since python-sqlalchemy depends on python-mysqldb already,
I've chosen that one as "primary" SQL package for the alternative
dependency.)

Anyway, I've uploaded it as it was as the package was in good shape
already.

Nevertheless I would be happy if you would take the comments above
into consideration for your next upload.

And thanks again for maintaining automx in Debian. Your package is
already in production at my employer. :-) Had to test it somewhere
anyway and that server ran a 0.9 .deb based on those provided by
upstream previously. Upgrade went fine, the previous configuration
files needed no update.
