msync/mprotect mystery

I have to say I'm stumped at this point.

The two failing tests on the ia32 LSB-si....
they both work on the "native" system, as
far as I can tell, msync and mprotect are
nothing but stubs to a syscall in libc,
so there can't be any differences in those
routines, and the runs are against the
identical kernel. I've checked header
files for differences, not finding any,
although this shouldn't matter since I'm
using binary tests - wouldn't have picked
up any header differences anyway.

Anybody have any clues at all?
