If these are not just bugs on certain distros then I think the
differences should be listed in the spec proper, perhaps with a
non-normative footnote stating we think the behaviour is a bug and
ISV's should try to avoid using the features if possible as it may
change in the future.

Dale - do you think you could chase up with the upstream author to
find out if the current behaviour is intentional?
