Food for thought:
Those who have not already read Dan Bernstein's pages about
his issues with Unix might want to.  He's prickly, but it's worth putting up with.
There are a few things in there that perhaps should influence
future work at freestandards.org, other standards bodies, or maybe 
individual distributions.  At the very least, he makes you think.
