Re: [gopher] There is/was a GopherCon?



Okay, so after some digging I found a Gopher menu with some interesting
past GopherCon documents that some of you might be interested in.  It
really shows where Gopher was heading at one point, and some
interesting ideas Gopher developers at the time had:
gopher://gopherspace.de/1/menu/WIKI/GopherCon/

I did find this very interesting read that might help some of you with
the WWW/Gopher server hybrid development:
gopher://gopherspace.de/0/menu/WIKI/GopherCon/94/APP12=Running_WWW_on_top_of_Gopher.txt

Basically, the custom httpd server uses the same document root as the
gopher server, but uses HTML files which are hidden to gopher to
stylize the same Gopher content in the HTTP version of their site.
Very interesting stuff.
