This change is correct to match the actual headings:
msgid "Upgrading:"
msgstr "Mis à jour :"
msgid "Installing:"
msgstr "Installation de :"
msgid "Installing dependencies:"
msgstr "Installation de dépendances : "
msgid "REMOVING:"
msgstr "SUPPRESSION :"
msgid "Not upgrading:"
msgstr "Pas mis à jour :"
msgid "Upgrading:"
msgstr "Mis à jour :"
msgid "DOWNGRADING:"
msgstr "RÉTROGRADÉ :"
these should match with
msgid "Upgrading: %lu, Installing: %lu, "
msgstr "Mise à niveau de : %lu. Installation de : %lu. "
msgid "Reinstalling: %lu, "
msgstr "Réinstallation de : %lu. "
msgid "Downgrading: %lu, "
msgstr "Rétrogradage de : %lu. "
#, c-format
msgid "Removing: %lu, Not Upgrading: %lu\n"
msgstr "Supprimé : %lu. Non mis à jour : %lu\n"
The first group of items is section headings explaining
actions to be taken with lists of packages; whereas the
second builds a summary line with the numbers for each
section.
Therefore, all of these verbs should use the same tense,
and matching terms should be actually matching, not
RÉTROGRADÉ vs Rétrogradage de
Mis à jour vs Mise à niveau de
It seems to me that the grammatical forms are different
on the sections which is ill-advised, it should indicate
an action. Common forms in other langauges are progressive verbs
(Installing:), imperative forms (Install:), or future tense
(Will Install: - not used in english because too long).
It should be clear to the user that these are actions that
will be taken by coherent tenses that indicate an action in
your language, in the fewest words possibly, and not necessarily
grammatically complete ("Installing:" also is not complete, it
would be "will be installing" or "am installing" or something).
I hope this helps and I apologize for the hard to work with
strings. I hope to, in the future, reduce this to an ordered
set of strings in the form that you get
"Installing" // TRANSLATORS: Long version for heading a section
"Installing" // TRANSLATORS: Short version for summary line
or just one of them (and we compose the summary from the actual
translations for the real section titles), or only complete
summary lines.
