Bug#1106116: apt: German locale problem
Package: apt
Version: 3.0.1
Severity: minor
Tags: l10n
Dear Maintainer,
the German localization of "REMOVING" (in the overview what will be
instealled and removed) is currently "ENTFERNUNG", what is not the word
one would usually use. It is not completely wrong, but ambiguous (it
could also mean "distance") and uncommon in that use. One could try
something like "Deinstallation", but possibly all headlines could be
adapated not to use the passive form, as "Aktualisierung" also reads a
bit uncommen (but acceptable). The sentence "Abhängigkeiten werden
installiert" is fine. So maybe restructure it into:
Pakete, die installiert werden:
Abhängigkeiten, die installiert werden:
Pakete, die ENTFERNT werden:
with kind regards,
Alex
