Package: apt
Version: 0.6.46.4-0.1
Severity: normal

Dear Apt maintainers,

Commands such as "apt-get --target-release etch source xorg-server"
will pull highest version if available. Concommitantly, apt-get
build-dep will try to install what is needed for building the highest
version.

Depending on the point of view, this normal bug on apt-get can be a
minor bug on the apt-get.8 manpage...

PS: the relevant lines in sources.list were of course not commented when
experiencing the bug.

Have a nice day,

Hello bugreporters!

apt-get source respects the --target-release now for quite a while
and a short while (0.7.21) also accepts codenames so it seems
to me that these bug are f&f (fixed and forgotten) so i close them
now with this message.

I have cc'ed every submitter of these bugreports so everyone
can check again if the issue is fixed, can me prove correct or not
and is able to reopen the bug if i missed something, so
please feel free to do so if needed.

Best regards / Mit freundlichen Grüßen,

David "DonKult" Kalnischkies
