Bug#352267: apt-get --purge remove dbus-1 purges far too much

  Is there any reason apt can't display something a little more
obvious?  aptitude appends {p} to the names of packages being purged,
which IMO stands out better (I tend to mentally filter out post-asterisks
in lists of names) and is a lot clearer.
