Bug#270351: Option to let apt *ask* for proxy user/pass
Package: apt
Version: 0.5.2
Severity: wishlist
As far as i see in the documentation of apt, the only way to specify
proxy server protected by a
a username/password combination is to set a http://user:pass@host option
in apt.conf or
as environment variable. To suit the need of paranoid people (like i am
in some ways)
it should be possible to set an option, which forces apt to ask for
proxy-username and proxy-password
on usage and does not depend on saving it to unsafe places.
