I did an 'apt-get source apt' and did my patch against the 0.5.17
sources.

The rejected hunk contains an Umlaut in the old version -- perhaps
this is some kind of charset/encoding problem.

As the third hunk also contains an Umlaut (this time in the new
version), I fear that it might not have worked, too.

I could mail the complete file compressed by gzip to you.
This should get us around these problems.

Should I mail it or should we try something else?
