I just noticed running apt-get with strace that there are lines like read(7, "102 Status\nURI: http://ftp.de.d";..., 4000) = 2938 in the output. It look like the URLs are truncated or is this ok? On the working machine (already potato) I find read(13, "102 Status\nURI: http://ftp.de.de";..., 4000) = 132 which also seems to be truncated but at another position. Thanks. Rainer.
