Bug#52135: apt: apt on ppc doesn't count md5sums properly
Package: apt
Version: 0.3.14
Severity: important
APT acts like this with _any_ file i want it to install:
# apt-get install gzip
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
1 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 38 not upgraded.
Need to get 69.6kB of archives. After unpacking 2048B will be freed.
Get:1 ftp://ftp.de.debian.org unstable/main gzip 1.2.4-33 [69.6kB]
Fetched 69.6kB in 17s (3929B/s)
Failed to fetch ftp://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/unstable/
main/binary-powerpc/base/gzip_1.2.4-33.deb MD5Sum mismatch
E: Unable to fetch some archives, maybe try with --fix-missing?
(URI line broken by me - was >80 chars)
After that I find the archive as
/var/cache/apt/archives/partial/gzip_1.2.4-33_powerpc.deb.FAILED
I have compared the md5sum generated by hand with the one in Packages file.
They _are_ the same.
I guess this might be an architecture-related issue.
