If you have specific packaging changes you'd like to submit, yes merge
requests are a good idea.
As always, one thing we currently really lack in answer to bugs, triaging and
stuff like that. I know it's usually not really rewarding, but it's always
helpful to go through old bug, check if they're still present etc.
