Thanks for your report, and sorry for the trouble this caused. I have just
uploaded xserver-xorg-input-synaptics, which bumps the priority and is used by
default when installed alongside the libinput driver. libinput will be used if
you remove the synaptics driver.
If you want to report your issues with libinput upstream (after testing with
libinput10 1.3.0-2, as previous versions were missing some important files),
that would be great. You can file them at
