copy/pasting code is usually never cleaner than just including a header.

If the inclusion just works, then it's good.
That being said, I checked in the changelog why the drm_fourcc.h header
exists at all. It is there just for distributions which do not have it
yet, it's not meant as a replacement for the non-DRI case.
At any rate, such changes should very probably be discussed with
upstream directly.
