Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.16.0-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer, After a dist-upgrade last night, xorg refuses to start. I've tried to disable KMS in /etc/modprobe.d/i915-kms.conf and start the kernel without vga= parameter, the problem persists. VDE tools is disabled in /etc/default/acpi-support. The difference in xorg.0.log when I disabled KMS was a (EE) line complaining that the number of screens declared in the xorg configuration didn't match what it found. I wanted to try with the last version of xorg and xorg intel drivers, unfortunately it the same version used in unstable today.
