Bug#681263: Here you go
Thanks for walking me through it with me Adam. However, It looks like the libraries are set-up correctly and I still get the same error as above when starting compiz with window decoration(undefined
symbol: decor_property_to_quads). Here is the output of "ldd"
$ ldd /usr/lib/compiz/libdecoration.so

Yes, decoration and everything; do you still get that message about
unresolved symbols?

Oif, I meant libdecoration.so.0.0.0, right.

So it's the same file as on my system.
If it still doesn't work, could you "ldd /usr/lib/compiz/libdecoration.so"
to check if it tries to import the correct library? Unless something is
amiss, it should be looking for:
libdecoration.so.0 => /usr/lib/libdecoration.so.0
which should be a symlink to libdecoration.so.0.0.0
